What to Expect in an ABM Lesson

ABM NeuroMovement® sessions are called lessons. These can be private, one-on-one lessons or in a group setting. Arika guides you through gentle movements that allow you to focus on your actions and increase awareness of your habitual movement patterns.   Through this work, you gain valuable understanding of how your muscular and skeletal systems integrate and how they can function together more effectively.   As you begin to move in new, more desirable patterns, your nervous system adopts this learning and replaces less desirable patterns of movement.

ABM Lessons for Children

Depending on the age and nature of your child’s condition, lessons for children can resemble play, but may also be similar to an adult session.   ABM does not focus on a child’s limitations, but meets a child where they are. ABM wakes up the child’s brain to create new connections, leading to spontaneous breakthroughs in movement, thinking, self-regulation, and connection with others.
